Honor McGregor is the Head of Vocational Education and owner of Careerline Courses; an online college dedicated to delivering affordable quality education with the flexiblity required in a modern world. Careeline Courses deliver Short Courses, Certificates and Diplomas in everything from agriculture to zoo keeping.

Honor is equal parts academic, small business owner, outdoor enthusiast and mother. A qualified secondary science teacher with a Bachelor of Science from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Education, Honor has has been involved in the online delivery of education in both the university and vocational sectors since 1994.

Dr Primitivo Jose A. Santos, Ph.D. (Plant Nutrition), M.S. Hort. (Crop Physiology) B.Sc. (Horticulture).

Dr Santos brings to careerline an enourmous depth of horticultural knowledge and extensive teaching skills.  He currently works within the Plant Physiology Laboratory at the Institute of Plant Breeding, UP Los Banos.   His main areas of research cover plant nutrition, salinity tolerance, hydroponics and urban agriculture, waterlogging and drought tolerance as well as offseason vegetable production.   Dr Santos has also participated in many extension and outreach education projects lecturing at different universities and on on education tours.

 

SCIENCES

 

Marife J. Macalisang   B.Sc (Environmental Science), M.Sc.    

Marife is presently holding a technical position in an environment agency in Caraga Region, Northeastern Mindanao, Philippines. Her work has been primarily along the line of Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) extending technical knowledge through trainings and workshops among local coastal stakeholders particularly in Marine Protected Area (MPA) establishment and mangrove rehabilitation and management. Her eleven years of work experience on ICM implementation coupled with a strong educational background in Marine Biology have earned her a post graduate scholarship last 2009 from the science and technology government agency . Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Marine Biology in Mindanao State University, one of the respected state universities in the Southern Philippines and to date, she is now working on her master’s thesis. She is also a licensed Secondary Education teacher with a major in Biology. She also had a two-year but very productive teaching stint in a local state university handling Marine Biology subjects and had been involved in local research works on coastal habitat assessment and socio-economic surveys.

 

Dennis Clemente,  B.Sc, M.Sc.

Dennis is currently a college instructor handling various Biology subjects such as Zoology, Genetics, Botany and Anatomy and Physiology. He is a graduate of BS Biology from De La Salle University – Manila and is currently finishing his Masters degree in Biology also from the said university. He underwent trainings in Physiology, Ecology and Microbiology and likewise, conducted several research projects in Biology.

Jimmy G. Tolosa, BS Commerce, BA- Mathematics, BA-English, Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Jimmy is a registered Professional Teacher and is a former Dean of the College of Business and Information System. He brings to careerline vast experiences, knowledge and skills in the areas of teaching business management, as well as, professional education courses. He had extensively  travelled to the Caribbean and the East Coast in his stint as a gaming supervisor in a cruise line based in Miami, Florida. At present, he is finishing his Master in School Management degree through a University Distance Education Program (UDEP).

  PSYCHOLOGY & COUNSELLING

Karen Gail, M.A. Clinical Psychology, B.Sc. Psychology

Karen Gail is a junior psychologist in a private neuropsychiatric clinic in Mandaluyong City which is owned and operated by one of the well-known psychologist in the country. She is responsible for making psychological evaluations and assessments, from clinical, legal and industrial purposes and also practices counseling to their clientele in the past four years. She is also a part-time faculty member in a university and handles subjects in psychological measurement and assessment. Presently, she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She is in her last year of post-graduate studies and she is about to complete her thesis

Byron Albelar B.S. in Biology , M.A. Education (Biology), PhD Incomplete.

Byron is a Biology Professor for more than ten years and Wildlife Biologist both in local and abroad.  He was a former PhD Biology student of U.P. Diliman and Research Fellow in Plant Physiology in Europe working on the Photosynthesis Research of C3, C4 and CAM plants in relation to ecology. He attended several local and international trainings, seminars, symposia and workshops and a Trainer in Wildlife  Management and Nature Conservation.

Arnold Tanoy B.Sc Degree in Fisheries

Arnold believes that there is no such thing as a monopoly on knowledge. He advocates on extending knowledge through discussions, seminars, and forums to increase the exchange of knowledge and improve the learning capacity of people and make them appreciate aquaculture and related technology without compromising the fun in learning.

He earned his B.Sc. degree in Fisheries from the University of the Philippines – Visayas. His career experience started with various research and developmental projects funded by the  University of the Philippines – Visayas, the Department of Science and Technology, and Department for International Development – UK where he developed his platform of knowledge enhancement approaches. After this research stint, he joined a Thai-owned corporation based in India in 2005 where he learned more in-depth innovative technical development and management strategies. His reassignment to the Philippines three years later provided an opportunity to transfer this knowledge to Filipino farmers and improve their farm management styles and shift to more scientific-based methods.

Currently he joined a Knowledge Process Outsourcing business as a risk analyst providing their line of business with analytics and assessment reports that form as basis for the reduction of risks and costs. He also recently has interests on financial management and exchanging data with other experts on business markets.

In the near future, he is contemplating a career path that will involve running an urban business and technical consultancy in the field of agriculture and aquaculture.

  INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

John Vinson T. Go Bachelor’s Degree Graduate Major in Information Technology

John brings to careerline a vast experience in programming and IT in generalHe develop web applications and systems such as simple applet (chat tool, etc.) integration to websites up to complicated systems like LimeSurvey Programming, Personalized Mail Server, SugarCRM, and many more. John is also a game developer. He developed and created hybrid games as well as educational games such as "G.I.E.K.S." and "AKDA". AKDA is an online game that features the legends and historical facts of Negros Occidental. He also provide IT support (hardware and software) on system units and has a broad knowledge and skills on IT systems and applications.

Rey is the CEO of RMB Business Solutions. For a couple of years now, he have been helping out businesses and companies in achieving their business goals. By utilizing social media, SEO and content management tools and strategies, companies are able to boost up their branding and engagement with their customers.

Fritz Tentativa

Fritz started being fascinated with photography using a camera phone in 2005. His photos of popular landmarks around South East Asia got published as accompanying images for a Nokia phone model when it bagged the award as best camera phone in 2007. He then firmly believed he would never need to shoot with a DSLR to take spectacular photos. Ever.

Soon enough, however, three years later, he got a DSLR and continued being a hobbyist. In 2011, he left his corporate job, attended master classes in people photography, and apprenticed to an international photographer, all in preparation to being a full time commercial/people photographer. In less than a year, he is already shooting celebrities, shot several magazine cover-features, billboards, and brand marketing collaterals.

Fritz is a CPA, has been painting and sculpting since the age of 6, and is a member of Mensa International.
