Environmental Management is “a purposeful activity with the goal to maintain and improve the state of an environmental resource affected by human activities”. The Diploma in Environmental Management is an online course that aims to ensure that ecosystem services are protected and maintained for equitable use by future human generations, and also, maintain ecosystem integrity as an end in itself by taking into consideration ethical, economic, and scientific (ecological) variables.

This course offers practical learning covering the essentials of environmental management with a range of electives to provide specialisation. The course itself is 1500 hours, 1400 of these is made up of the modules listed below. The remaining 100 hours is work experience or industry workshops. The course is available online, by correspondence or on CD and a range of payment plans are available.
This course is suitable for students who need to study environmental management but cannot attend regular on campus sessions.
